ABOUT US
Jeffery Amherst, born in Sevenoaks, was the commander-in-chief of British forces in North America during the Seven Years' War, which saw France surrender Canada to the British.
​
The "Crown Point Inn", previously home of the independent Sevenoaks Brewery, was built in a setting which resembled the scene of Sir Jeffrey Amherst's great Canadian victory, which is how it came by its name. It is said the building was originally a hunting lodge.
​
Now renamed The Amherst Inn, we serve delicious food, including our home made award winning pies, premium steaks and classic pub food, along with a fine range of drinks and cocktails.

With extensive parking, a large garden area and terrace wrapped around the exterior, it is perfect for outside dining and all served with a warm welcome.
